Vision, Mission and Values

The DGC Health & Welfare Trust is committed to providing a valuable and affordable benefits plan to support the mental and physical health of DGC members and their family, and to provide financial protection in case of an illness, injury or disability. As part of this commitment, the Trust has established the following vision, mission and core values:

Vision

To strive to be the best health and welfare plan among all unions in the Canadian film industry.

Mission

To help members mitigate disastrous financial losses to themselves and to their dependants from catastrophic health events like death, serious accidents, and major diseases.
To provide robust mental health support for members.
To provide robust physical health support for members.
To ensure that access to benefits is uncomplicated and is done in a matter to ensure maximum confidentiality.
To ensure that the entire ecosystem of the DGC Benefits Plan is transparent and is equally accessible to members in both English and French.
To ensure that the plan meets the needs of the members and that it is sustainable in the long term.
